Breakdown

  • Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is making loads of money despite its broken launch
  • Over $1.6 million has been spent on the game in just five days
  • The United States is the highest spender on the CoD game

The recent launch of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile has been controversial to say the least. While the game may be completely busted on Android leading to low reviews, players are still spending loads on the mobile game.

Despite players using the best Warzone Mobile settings, the new CoD game has been criticized as the worst launch in the series. With overheating issues, crashing, server errors, and poor-quality visuals, the mobile game has launched in a sorry state.

Nevertheless, the new CoD game is still raking in a tonne of money. In the first five days of its launch, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile has earned over $1.6 million in microtransaction purchases. In lifetime revenue, including pre-release access, Warzone Mobile has earned $2.2 million.

According to Appmagic reports, via PocketGamer, the United States is responsible for the majority of Warzone Mobile revenue. At the time of writing, the United States makes up 47% of spending in the free-to-play title, although some of this could be due to the use of VPNs.

In comparison, Call of Duty: Mobile, which isn’t being replaced with Warzone Mobile, made almost four times the amount of money as its successor in its first four-day period. The older Call of Duty: Mobile managed to generate $4.2 million in four days.

Furthermore, Warzone Mobile cross-progression could be skewing the revenue numbers slightly as well. With character and gun skins carrying over between the mobile game and Modern Warfare 3/Warzone PC and console, some of these purchases could’ve been made to be experienced on other hardware.

Warzone Mobile is still a popular FPS game on Android and iOS, but its rough launch fails to hold a candle to the smoothness of CoD Mobile. Nevertheless, we can still tell you about the best Warzone Mobile guns or the best SMG loadout if you really want us to.

Warzone Mobile is available right now as a free-to-play game on Android and iOS.
