The Competition

We’re hosting the Super Evil Megacorp, Vainglory European Winter Championships ("The Championship") live at the Gfinity Arena in London. On the 18th - 20th March 2016, eight teams from across Europe will compete for a prize pool of $25,000 in the first-ever touchscreen tournament hosted at the Gfinity Arena.

Vainglory, a mobile multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), pits two teams made up of three players against each other, as players control a single hero and work together to shatter their opponents giant crystal, the “Vain”, located in the centre of the enemy teams base.

In less than a year, Vainglory launched globally in July 2015 and became the world’s leading touchscreen eSports game. As it cemented its spot with in the eSports community, players have been awarded over $350,000 in prize money.

This is a great opportunity for mobile gamers to experience the world of eSports. Players can come to the Gfinity arena and study the elite team tactics up close and personal. As you learn their secrets, why not try them out on your own devices to improve your skills while you watch.

The qualifiers are well underway, with more than 700 competitive teams registering for the first Winter Season qualifier. After months of intense battling the competiton has now been narrowed down to the best 64 teams, which team will take the Winter crown?

You have the opportunity to witness only the best of the best! Eight European finalists will compete in an intense three day tournament, as we search for the next Vainglory Champion. The eight teams have cemented their legacy in the $25,000 competition, SK Prometheus, G2.Kinguin, Rebirth of Empire, Angry Pandas Black, Team Secret, Snow Tsunami, Snow Avalanche and G2.Kinguin 2.

The nearest tube station is Fulham Broadway on the District Line. If changing at Earls Court Station take a Wimbledon-bound tube. There are two Overground stations near to Stamford Bridge, West Brompton and Imperial Wharf, which are approximately a 15-minute walk from the arena These are both on a direct line between Clapham Junction and Willesden Junction.

By Bus:

There are two bus stops outside the Gfinity Arena on the Fulham Road, use number 14, 211 and 414 buses.

By Car:

We advise against travelling to the Gfinity Arena by car due to local parking restrictions and heavy congestion at weekends.

Driving from The North, East or West:

Use the M25 to Junction 15 and turn off onto the M4 towards London. Follow the M4 which becomes the A4 up to Hammersmith. Go over the Hammersmith Flyover and a further 1.5 miles before turning off for Earls Court. Go past Earls Court station and across Old Brompton Road, eventually reaching Fulham Road. Turn right at the traffic lights.

Driving from The South:

Cross the river at Wandsworth Bridge and head up Wandsworth Bridge Road. At the junction with New King's Road, turn right and then immediately left. This will take you up to Fulham Broadway. Turn right onto Fulham Road and the retail complex will be on your left.
