In Modern Warfare 3, you can customise your extensive arsenal of weapons with attachments to modify their stats, courtesy of the gunsmith. With the right attachments, the WSP Swarm can be tailored to fit a variety of different play styles. Here's a set that's perfect for running and gunning:
- Barrel: WSP Ruthless-L Barrel
- Stock: WSP Factory Stock
- Underbarrel: XTEN Phantom-5 Handstop
- Rear Grip: WSP Hark Rubber Grip
The WSP Ruthless-L Barrel provides an increase in bullet velocity and range which helps in mid-range scenarios while the WSP Factory Stock enhances movement speed and aim walking speed which makes all the difference when strafing an opponent.
Next is the XTEN Phantom-5 Handstop to guarantee the fastest sprint-to-fire and aim-down sight speeds in addition to a slight reduction in vertical recoil. With the WSP Swarm's smaller magazine, you'll burn through mags quickly, and being able to swap them quickly is a further bonus that makes this an easy choice. Meanwhile, we suggest using the Commando gloves, as being able to reload while sprinting is vital with this low-capacity weapon.
In your gear slot, we find that the Tac Mask offers the best combination with the WSP Swarm. Your small magazine means that you can't reliably pre-fire through smokes and flashes, so you'll want to reduce their effects by any means. Lastly, we suggest using the Tactical Pads boots, to boost your slide speed so you can move around the battlefield faster.

If you're using the Tac Mask gear perk, you'll be getting the most out of Flash Grenades. Your Tac Mask will reduce the effect of flashes, meaning you've got a lower chance of flashing yourself when you use them.
Our preference for the lethal equipment slot is the Frag Grenade, as it offers the most flexible and dynamic approach out of all the lethal pieces of equipment. However, with a bit of practice, you'll be able to use any of the lethal equipment to good effect and become prolific at neutralising opponents.
Is the Modern Warfare 3 WSP Swarm meta?
Thanks to its high rate of fire, the WSP Swarm is a menace at short ranges. The gun boasts a low time-to-kill, but its recoil means you'll struggle to win fights at range. However, the lack of long-distance performance can prove problematic leaving you to use another SMG or resort to an assault rifle.
