The latest hero to arrive in Overwatch is now here in the form of Venture, the first non-binary hero to hit Blizzard’s free-to-play hero shooter. To learn every Venture ability, ultimate and more, read on.

Venture is a DPS hero that joins the crew in Overwatch 2 Season 10. With all heroes now free from the battle pass, you won’t have to earn the character, but will simply be able to play as them as soon as they’re added.

Blizzard has finally revealed every one of Venture’s abilities, passives and skills prior to the character’s release. Here’s everything you need to know.

All Venture Abilities in Overwatch 2

Venture’s abilities all revolve around their background as an archeologist. This means that their abilities involve digging underground and getting the drop on enemies from behind or even below.

Here’s a breakdown of their skills:

Burrow

This skill allows Venture to quickly retreat underground where they cannot be hurt. While using Burrow, Venture can move freely underground and emerge vertically from below when they wish or the ability runs out. This ability also unleashes an AOE effect on nearby foes.

Dash

Venture also has access to a short dash that they can use to propel themselves forward. When activating this skill, they gain an additional 50 shield that quickly decays as well as causing 50 damage to any enemy in the dash’s path.

Weapon Fire

The primary fire of Venture’s weapon shoots out a small AoE projectile that deals damage that explodes on impact.

Overwatch Venture Passives

Blizzard has created two passive abilities for Venture in Overwatch that help to give the game’s 40th hero an edge against the 39 other characters in the game.

Here is every Overwatch Venture passive:

Clobber

This passive gives Venture additional quick melee damage against enemies. This means that the character should be able to finish off squishier enemies quickly with a few quick punches.

Explorer’s Resolve

Venture will gain additional shield while using any ability with this passive. This means that the character will be able to quickly dash in and out of firefights whilst protected against most small arms fire.

Venture release date

Blizzard has confirmed a quick trial period for Venture in Overwatch 2. Players will be able to get their hands on the character between March 28, 2024 until the end of March 31, 2024.

The character will then permanently join the game on April 16, 2024 with the arrival of Season 10.
