Fortnite is one of the most popular games in the world, with millions of players participating in some battle royale action. Because there are millions of gamers playing every day, fans are wondering why Epic Games has AI bots participate, especially since they tend to ruin games.

On the game’s subreddit, fans voiced their displeasure with having to play with these divisive AI bots who barely put up a fight. The player who started this topic showed a clip of an AI bot who was armed with a ton of upgrades, but just let themselves get shot.

While AI bots were needed for the last Fortnite season, which was populated by vehicles, they don’t serve much of a purpose now. AI bots would make sense if this were an unpopular game but this is one of the most-played battle royales in the world, making these dummies unnecessary.

To be fair, even if this is the most popular game ever made, it can still be a challenge to fill a whole gaming session. Whether it’s due to players not paying attention or taking too long, AI bots are often implemented so these games don’t feel empty. However, based on these reactions, it seems that gamers would prefer fewer players over any AI bots.

None of these AI bots will annoy players enough to leave Fortnite, as the game has proven to be a piece of pop culture at this point. Even with all of these annoyances, the shooter has enough crossover characters and fresh updates to reel players back in every time.

Gamers who are bored with the standard battle royale don’t even need to play the main Fortnite game anymore. They also have LEGO Fortnite, a survival sim with cool boss fights, Fortnite Festival, a Guitar Hero-like game with Fortnite characters, and Rocket Racing.

Players can check out all of these games by downloading Fortnite, which is free to play. The game is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
