Helldivers 2 players issue warning against rogue player turning against democracy

Helldivers 2 is a cooperative shooter, so players are meant to help each other out as they shoot the hordes of enemies coming for them. Unfortunately, a rogue player has decided to ruin the fun for everyone, as they are shooting their teammates and making missions impossible to play.

According to the Super Earth Broadcast on TikTok, a rogue player going by GantzTheDemon is shooting any player who is a part of their team. The move has rightfully annoyed everyone, as this is a game where you are supposed you help out your fellow player.

For the record, Helldivers 2 has friendly fire because it’s supposed to add to the game’s challenge. Players have to coordinate and strategize together so they can shoot all the aliens while keeping each other safe. Sadly, this player is using friendly fire to make everyone miserable and that’s just disappointing behavior all around.

GantzTheDemon might be doing this because the devs aren’t planning to add a PvP mode, since gamers are naturally toxic to each other. Considering this player’s troll-like behavior, we can’t help but think the devs have a point and this could strengthen their refusal to add such a mode.

This might be new for Helldivers 2 players, but anyone who has been around the multiplayer scene knows that some gamers are just jerks. Whether it was the Modern Warfare games on Xbox 360 back in the day or even current Overwatch players, this is just how some people react. Negative attention is still attention, though we do hope that players like GantzTheDemon get banned or suspended for their lame actions.

Seeing Helldivers 2 players act like this is repulsive, especially since this is one of the surprise gaming hits of 2024 thus far. No one expected this game to be the most-played PlayStation PC game, but it is, managing to have a higher player base than previous Sony releases combined.
